Does Jessi travel for makeup and hair services? Yes. Jessi is based in Austin, TX and is available for local, domestic travel. Travel fees may apply depending on the location, schedule and project requirements.  

What is Jessi’s Makeup and Hair area of expertise? Jessi’s experience spans commercial, editorial, television, film, corporate and live productions. From natural beauty and lifestyle looks to high-fashion, creative an character driven concepts. She creates polished, camera-ready results tailored to each project.

How do you tailor Makeup for diverse ethnicities and age groups? My background in color theory, combined with years of experience working for cosmetic brands and makeup counters, has given me extensive experience working with all skin tones, ages, and skin types. I customize every application to complement the individual’s features and create a polished, flattering result.  

If I have a large event, can Jessi bring a team of artists to help get people ready? Yes. Jessi can coordinate additional makeup and hair artists when a project or event requires a larger team. She has successfully staffed commercial productions, live events, corporate programs and portrait sessions requiring multiple artists. 

Do men need professional makeup for photography, video and live appearances? Yes. Camera lighting and high-resolution photography often emphasize shine, uneven skintone, under-eye circles and minor imperfections that may not be noticeable in person. The goal isn’t to look “made up,” but to appear polished, healthy, confident and camera-ready.

What steps does Jessi take to ensure proper safety and hygiene? Jessi and the artists she collaborates with are dedicated to ensuring complete prevention of product cross-contamination by adhering to state-regulated standards and guidelines. Jessi received certifications in Blood-borne Pathogens and Barbicide education, also utilizing disposable tools when necessary to keep everyone safe. 

Does Jessi carry gluten-free, chemical free, skin safe and cruelty free products? Jessi focuses on the safety and comfort of her clients, using her own experiences with allergies to create a caring environment. This understanding led her to incorporate gluten-free, chemical-free, skin safe and cruelty free products to her kit. With extensive experience, she has successfully assisted many clients who need completely gluten-free or entirely chemical-free makeup options. 

Does Jessi offer Special Effects Makeup applications, can she make me into a Zombie? Jessi is dedicated to the art of bringing the undead to life, specializing in creating realistic decaying skin, imaginative characters, and detailed wounds, as well as effects for tattoo enhancement or removal using her expert makeup skills as an out of kit special effects artist. For projects requiring more elaborate designs, she can connect you with talented professionals who excel in crafting monstrous creations and can meet all your production needs.
